Single-Tiered Decking

Single tier decking is the most common type of decking and has pretty much become a replacement for patios, giving a much more presentable area for social gatherings like family barbecues, parties and get-togethers.

Decking is also a good way turning that ‘awkward shape’ or tiny garden in to a low maintenance, grass-free area that can be enjoyed by the whole family, all year round!

Multi-Tiered/Multi-Level Decking

Multi-tier decking is a much more complicated process, but the end results are certainly worth it! Multi tier decks can be used on sloping ground to create a kind of ‘step by step’ to get from one level to the next. In the right garden, a multi tier deck can completely transform the look and the use of the property and we can even build in planting boxes or any other kind of garden feature, such as pools and seating areas.

Many British gardens are heavily sloped, and multi-level decking can transform hillside gardens into more useable spaces. If your garden slopes so much that it is not comfortable to walk or sit on, you can add decking at various heights to create platforms for flowers and shrubbery, and to give yourself a useable walkway up and down the garden.

Multi-level decking can make uneven gardens and outdoor spaces accessible to elderly or disabled people. You can form broad stairways out of decking, and build platforms at very gradual inclines to help mobility-impaired people to move from one part of the garden to another.
