Reptile Fencing
Working with ecology teamsReptile fencing comes in many forms, and there are multiple ways of installing it. Each circumstance is different. The ground condition, surroundings, and overall result you are trying to achieve all contribute to the decision on what materials to use. With more and more ‘environmental’ land being bought up for development, environmental fencing is a fast-growing sector.
SJ Fencing provide a range of reptile and newt fencing solutions, as well as undertaking other environmental fencing solutions, such as badger fencing, newt fencing and the installation of bat boxes.
Reptile fencing can be installed in its own right or as part of an overall mitigation strategy for reptiles such as translocation, habitat manipulation and hibernacula creation.
Working under a licence from the relevant body, and in conjunction with local ecologists and ecology teams, we are able to supply and install fencing to exclude newts and reptiles from areas and prevent them returning, using temporary, semi-permanent or permanent fencing.
Where reptile fencing is only required for a short period of time e.g. during construction, we can install a variety of temporary and semi-permanent reptile fencing. Our permanent reptile fencing is used where situations mean it needs to remain in place for five years or more.
